The family of former Voice contestant, Christina Grimmie, who was gunned down Friday in Orlando, will have a private funeral service for her in her home state of New Jersey.
People noted that a source said after Grimmie was honored publicly during a candlelight vigil on Monday, her family is going to have a private service and burial for the late 22-year-old sometime this week.
“It’s just going to be a small, intimate gathering for her family and close friends,” the source said.
Grimmie’s former Voice coach, Adam Levine, is paying for the funeral.
As we reported, the singer was signing autographs on June 10 when a man walked up to her and shot her several times. She was pronounced dead at a local hospital. Grimmie’s brother tackled the gunman who then shot himself.
