The wait about how long we need to wait is over. Yes, Gilmore Girls fans, the release date has been set for the next chapter in the lives of Emily (Kelly Bishop), Lorelai (Lauren Graham) and Rory Gilmore (Alexis Bledel).  On Nov. 25, 2016 aficionados will finally get their Stars Hallow fix on Netflix.

Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life —includes four 90-minute episodes that take place in winter, spring, summer and fall.  This resurgence could give new meaning to the term “binge watching.”

Original series creators Amy Sherman-Palladino returns to the helm, so one could infer that witty, rapid-fire banter will ensue in this return.

Gilmore Girls ran on WB from 2000 to 2006, then moved to CW, but was cancelled in 2007, thus breaking the hearts of many fans who wanted to know what happens next?  Fans were thrilled on Jan. 29, 2016 when it was announced that the show would return on Netflix.

Most of the cast will be returning.  It has been written that all of Rory’s main ex-boyfriends Dean Forester (Jared Padalecki), Jess Mariano and Logan Huntzburger (Matt Czuchry) are expected to grace the screen.  And the curious wonder which, if any she may end up with? Also, what’s going on with Lorelai and Luke (Scott Peterson)? The odd townspeople of Connecticut hamlet will delight viewers with their (mis)adventures.

Even Melissa McCarty promised to stop in briefly to reprise her role as Sookie.  The notable exception is the beloved Edward Herrmann (Richard Gilmore) who died in 2014, thus leaving his fans heartbroken.
