Move over Taylor Swift because you’re not the only scorned lover who can write breakup songs.
In what seems to be a clear dose of karma, Calvin Harris has just reversed roles with his ex and released his own track about Swift allegedly cheating on him with new beau Tom Hiddleston.
TMZ noted that the title to the track, sung by John Newman, is “Ole.” Some of the lyrics are “I see online that you begun to be a good girl and take trips with your boyfriend … Being attentive, continue to pretend … You’ve hidden my name in your phone so you can call me to tell me you’ve been going through hell. Left him alone and you booked in a hotel.”
And the Scottish DJ certainly didn't hold back with the line seemingly aimed at Hiddleston's Thor character Loki: “Low key you won’t tell none of your friends about me.” Despite that lyric, sources claim that Harris has no ill will toward the actor and blames Taylor for cheating.
Of course writing and singing hit songs about failed relationships is something Swift has become known for. Many of her most famous songs have reportedly been written about her famous exes including Jake Gyllenhaal, Harry Styles, Joe Jonas and John Mayer. This time though Harris decided to make his own track before one was made about him.
