A desperate search has been ongoing for the son of country music singer Craig Morgan after the 19-year-old went missing Sunday. However, those search efforts have now shifted to recovery efforts as he is feared dead.
People noted that searchers are scanning Kentucky Lake for Morgan’s son, Jerry Greer, who is said to have been tubing with a friend when they collided with one another in the water. Greer did not resurface after the collision.
The Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency has brought in military-grade SONAR to help locate the teen.
“Recent Dickson County High School graduate Jerry Greer (19), son of country music entertainer Craig Morgan and wife Karen Greer, went missing yesterday following a boating accident on Kentucky Lake in Humphreys County, Tennessee,” a statement from the family via Morgan's publicist read. “Recovery efforts to locate him are underway. The family is grateful for everyone’s support and prayers and requests privacy during this difficult time.”
The singer is best known for his hit singles "That's What I Love About Sunday," "International Harvester" and "Bonfire."
