Johnny Depp and Amber Heard reached a settlement in their divorce, a year and a half after their Feb. 2015 marriage.
TMZ reported that Heard also dismissed the restraining order petition she had filed against Depp for domestic violence. Since the case was dismissed with prejudice, she cannot refile the restraining order.
In the settlement, Depp agreed to pay Heard $7 million.
The former couple released a statement saying “Our relationship was intensely passionate and at times volatile, but always bound by love.”
Their statement also said they did not make “false accusations for financial gain.” In addition, they also said there was no intention to cause either party harm emotionally or physically.
Back when their divorce was announced, Heard had made allegations of abuse by her now ex-husband.
Heard plans on donating the divorce proceeds to charity and they concluded the statement saying “There will be no further public statements about this matter.”
