Rapper Shad Moss, who went by Bow Wow before changing his stage name, has announced he will be retiring from the rap world at the age of 29.
Taking to Twitter, Bow Wow wrote, “’I always said years ago I’d retire from music before 30. I just can’t see myself at 30 years old rapping.”
He continued writing on Twitter, citing he had sold 10 million albums and he was “good with everything I accomplished.” His final album NYLTH will be released later in the year, according to E! News.
Bow Wow first made it big in 2000 with Beware of the Dogg with help from his mentor, fellow rapper Snoop Dogg.
He revealed on Instagram that his “uncle Snoop” would help executive produce the album.
In addition to rapping, he has appeared in television and film including All About The Benjamins, Like Mike and Smallville. He also joined the short-lived series CSI: Cyber alongside Patricia Arquette.
