Chris Brown was released from jail late Tuesday evening after he posted $250,000 bail.

The latest drama surrounding the singer began after police were called to his Tarzana, California neighborhood home in the early morning hours of Aug. 30 by a woman now identified as Baylee Curran. The former Miss California beauty contestant alleged that Brown assaulted her with a gun. This led to Brown going on bizarre rants via Instagram and an almost 14-hour long standoff with police.

Eventually, the 27-year-old musician was arrested and charged with assault with a deadly weapon and was questioned by the LAPD Robbery Homicide Division. Brown’s release from the jail came after he posted bond and his lawyer tweeted to let his fans know that he was out and called the allegations by Curran “demonstrably false.”

Reality star Ray J was also at the house during the time that Curran claimed Brown became angry after she commented on a diamond necklace wore by another man in the home and pointed a gun at her face. However, Ray J posted a video defending Brown and said that is not what happened.

Curran told TMZ that she visited Brown’s residence before and never had any problems. When she was asked if there were drinking and drug use going on inside the home this last time she declined to answer.

Police are still investigating the case and are continuing to look into her claims.
