It’s time for another unboxing. Rebecca Mail is a subscription service for women whose goal is to send fun mail to make life a little less tough. They call themselves a lifestyle box full of happy and they really live up to that motto. I received the August box with items to improve the hottest days of summer. We’ll have a look inside and then I’ll give you an amazing coupon code!
My Rebecca Mail package was a plain brown box with pretty decorative stickers and trim. You can see it at the top of this review. Inside I found tissue paper wrapped around pretty colored shredded cardboard padding. Very nice presentation and everything arrived safely.
The first items I pulled from the box were summer food related. There were paper ice cream cups and hand stamped wooden spoons, a box of candy and adorable paper straws which were marked as a bonus item.
The ice cream cups are sturdy and cute with their polka dots. They’re the perfect size for a scoop or two.
The spoons by Love Lilly Designs hold up to use and have sweet zigzag designs printed on them. They were the perfect complement to the paper cups. It made dessert at home feel like an ice cream social.
Every August subscription got a box of candy, but not everybody got the same kind. The idea was to use them on ice cream or to eat them while watching a movie inside in the air conditioning. I ended up with SweetTarts which I like. My fiancé and I had a lot of fun putting together sundaes with cotton candy ice cream using the cups and spoons.
I have not used the straws yet, but they look like they’ll live through a few uses in the same cup. I plan on pulling them out when my nieces or nephew come over for an added element of fun.
The last three items I got out of the package were aimed more at day-to-day happiness. I received a pair of pretty titanium-backed post earrings, an inspirational card and a Mason jar tumbler.
The earrings have a pretty champagne glitter pattern on wood. They’re made by The Purple Chickadee in Longview, Texas. I’m super excited because they have nickel-free backing. I’m allergic to nickel, but I’ll be able to wear these with no problem. I find most subscription services are hit or miss in this area and I’m glad Rebecca Mail took allergies into consideration.
The greeting card is 5"x7" and it’s made so it’s suitable for framing or sending to a friend who needs encouragement. It doesn’t match my home décor, so I’m going to save it to send to a friend in need sometime down the road.
Last, is my favorite item in the whole box. It’s the Mason jar summer sipper with the Rebecca Mail logo and the words, “Happy girls are the prettiest!” It’s a good reminder to do things that make me happy. The tumbler is clear plastic with a metal lid and plastic straw. It looks yellow in the picture because it was stuffed with tissue paper. The cup has a ribbon tied around it that’s easy to remove for washing. It came at a great time because my fiancé had just accidentally broken the final straw cup we had in the house. I can slowly start rebuilding my collection.
So, that’s it! There were seven items in the box with an approximate value of $46.95 according to the card that listed the prices. The box itself only costs $35 plus $6 shipping, less if you purchase several months at once, so you get a bit of a deal. The owner of Rebecca Mail wants to improve that deal by offering our readers a coupon code. Use the code CELEBRITYCAFE for 10 percent off any subscription. This includes the three month and six month prepay plans as well as the monthly plan, so you can really save some money.
Overall, I think this was a great box. It’s full of happy items that keep you smiling from month to month. You can buy it for yourself, but it would also make an amazing gift for anyone that might need a little cheering. It's definitely worth your business. Give it a try!
