After rain and devastating flood waters ravaged parts of Louisiana, many are coming together to help those affected by the disaster including Taylor Swift and Lady Gaga.

In a statement to the Associated Press the “Bad Blood” singer said, "We began The 1989 World Tour in Louisiana, and the wonderful fans there made us feel completely at home. The fact that so many people in Louisiana have been forced out of their own homes this week is heartbreaking.

"I encourage those who can to help out and send your love and prayers their way during this devastating time."

Swift is said to be donating  $1 million to those in need.

On Wednesday, Lady Gaga tweeted that she too is sending some much needed help to the victims.

Perhaps other stars will now follow suit and help out with the relief efforts as well.

The Weather Channel reported that an estimated 40,000 homes have been damaged and at least 11 people were killed in the massive flooding.
