Well we knew it wouldn't take long for Kanye West and Drake to respond to Kid Cudi's Twitter diss. In fact, it only took a few hours and the rappers chose to respond onstage in front of thousands of fans.
As we reported Kid Cudi, who is rumored to have written multiple Kanye tracks, went on a Twitter rant Wednesday and called out Yeezy and Drizzy about their ghostwriting controversies.
“My tweets apply to who they apply. Ye, Drake, whoever," Kid Cudi wrote. "These ni**as dont give a f**k about me. And they aint f**kin with me.”
And as expected, that night both Kanye and Drake fired back.
West did so with his own rant of course at a show in Tampa, Florida, saying, "Kid Cudi, don't ever mention 'Ye name. I birthed you. We all dealing with that emo shit all the time -- me, Pat, Don C. Don't ever mention 'Ye name. Don't try to say who I can do songs with. You mad 'cause I'm doing songs with Drake? Ain't nobody telling 'Ye who to do songs with! Respect the God!"
He ended up stopping his music completely and continued with an emotional response saying he was actually "hurt" by Kid Cudi's comments.
"I am so hurt. I feel so disrespected. Kid Cudi, we are two black men in a racist world. I got called names before you, bruh. Why y'all gotta be coming at me? This ain't the end of the Malcolm X movie. I'm out here fighting for y'all creators, artists, independent thinkers. Don't never mention my name in a bad manner, none of y'all."
Kid Cudi's other target, Drake, also responded to the diss and said, "Boy, you getting way too high, you need to Cud-it."
After his show he took the battle back to Twitter where it started and wrote, "I heard boys were talking down today. Shoutout to my brother Kanye West. We both got sold out shows."
