Peaches & Petals is a lifestyle subscription box that mails out a little bit of everything from home goods to beauty supplies and electronics. They’re a monthly subscription and the theme changes with each package. I ordered the July box from their shop whose theme was “Dance to the Music.” Here’s what I found inside.
My new goodies were shipped in a plain brown box with a Peaches & Petals sticker. You’ll see it at the top of this article. Not the most exciting packaging, but everything was padded well and got here just fine.
The first three items I found in the package were beauty and fashion related. There was a box of temporary hair color spray, a wrap bracelet and an elastic hair band.
The spray is by Chroma Lights and is a metallic teal color. It’s temporary, meaning it will wash out with shampoo. I haven’t tried it yet only because I dyed my hair a dark purple this week and I’m not sure how the colors would mesh. I might try a test patch and if it doesn’t look right, I’ll pass it on to a niece to have fun with.
The bracelet reads “Don’t Stop Believin’” on its metal placard that hangs on a pretty teal blue material. Even if you don’t like Journey, it’s an upbeat message that anyone can enjoy. It has an adjustable clasp, but unfortunately the material snapped off one end of the clasp the first time I wore it. There was, however, enough room for me to remove the clasp completely and tie a knot that I can still fit over my wrist, so I can still use it.
I haven’t tried the headband on yet, but it’s attached to an elastic band so it should fit. It’s covered in fake blue flowers that could cascade down the side of your hair. The front is made of braided leather. It’s fun and I’ll probably wear it a bunch next summer.
The next three items in the box were more miscellaneous. There was a wet wave towel, a wireless speaker and makeup remover wipes.
The towel is something I hadn’t heard of until I received this box. The idea is to get it wet, wring it out and then wave it to cool it down. You then use it to cool your body on a hot day or after a strenuous workout. I haven’t used it yet. The weather is cooling down where I am and I’ve been on vacation so no recent workouts. It does seem like an interesting product though.
The speaker is a mini Bluetooth Boombotix. I tried it out on my phone. It has decent sound. Like any Bluetooth product, you have to occasionally reboot your connection to continue to get uninterrupted sound. I can see it being handy here and there if I want to listen to music from my phone.
I don’t wear makeup every day, so I haven’t had a chance to try out the wipes yet. I just got back from camping and haven’t had the occasion to go out since then. The wipes are made by Clinical Beauty Care and have aloe and several vitamins that are good for your skin. The package they’re in is good quality, so I assume the wipes will be as well.
So, overall there were six different items in the box. The towel was the only one I couldn’t match to the music theme, unless maybe you were to take it to a music festival. Each item is useful and most likely won’t end up shoved in a drawer somewhere.
The subscription only costs $19.99 per month. The towel and the speaker add up to almost that on their own. Everything else is bonus! Best of all, Peaches & Petals has free shipping. This makes them a really great deal. They would make the perfect gift for adventuresome women or teenage girls.
Later this month I’ll be reviewing their “Cuteness Overload” box which just closed out. There’s still time to sign up for October though. Just click here.
