We're not kitten you.

On Tuesday, while social media outlets released information about the vice presidential debate, The Late Show's Stephen Colbert announced an focus group of 10 kittens.

Yes, kittens!

Colbert said in a teaser clip released yesterday, “people don’t know much about the VP candidates, nobody knows less … than these 10 kittens.”

Obviously, like the American public, these kittens had to be educated on the VP candidates. To get a handle on how the debate was going, the kittens were placed on both sides of the red and blue line, representing voters for Republican Mike Pence and Democrat Tim Kaine. Some of the kittens were even undecided voters who were placed in a litter box right in the middle of the two sides.

This live stream ran throughout the entire debate, with regularly tweeted updates as well.

Even before the debate started some of the kittens tried to make a run for it.

At some point even the kittens lost interest in the yammering.

Watch the whole stream here to catch the napping, escaping and other antics that happened.

If you fell in love with the cuteness the kittens are available to adopt from the North Shore Animal League of America. #GetYourAdoptionOn today!
