As we all know Shannen Doherty has been battling breast cancer since 2015 and has documented her brave fight via social media. Some of her former co-star's including Jason Priestly and Ian Ziering, have been following her journey and expressed how amazing she has been through it. Now, Tori Spelling has echoed their thoughts.
Spelling talked to E! News about her Beverly Hills, 90210 co-star and said she admires Doherty for her fight and sharing it with the public.
“I haven’t personally seen her, but I obviously have followed her fight,” Spelling said. “It’s been amazing how she’s done it through social media. I give her props for that. I think she’s standing up for a lot of women everywhere that are fighting that battle.
“She’s doing a brave and wonderful job and we obviously support her. We’ve all been talking and supporting her from afar. It’s really hard to know what to do when someone’s going through that — if they want people there or not there. But I think she’s very brave and I admire her so much.”
Doherty has shared several Instagram posts and videos detailing her tough choices including her decision to shave her head.
On Friday, she will sit down with her good friend Chelsea Handler on her Netflix show, Chelsea, to discuss her battle further.
