Emma Watson is reminding us all that dreams really do come true.
As a child the actress loved Disney’s 1991 animated classic romance tale, Beauty and the Beast and just as every young girl desires to be their favorite princess one day, so did Emma.
“I can’t even think how many times I watched it as a child,” the 26-year-old said. “I knew all the words by heart. I knew all the songs by heart.”
The fairy tale tells the story of a beautiful young woman with a beautiful spirit named Belle who happens to be a maiden woman. She takes the place of her ill father who was a prisoner to a prince-turned-beast. The only way the beast can be transformed back into a prince is if he learns to love a woman. Eventually he and Belle fall in love and there’s a happy ending. This love story swept animated romance movie lovers off their feet and to this day they haven’t forgotten about it.
Fast forwarding 26 years later, the word is getting out that there is a remake of the Beauty and the Beast in live- action coming March 17, 2017. It is a magical experience for Watson as she will get a chance to play the role of Belle. The other lead role of the beast will be played by Dan Stevens who appeared in Downtown Abbey.
Watson and Stevens along with their other co-stars are thrilled to bring back this lovely tale.
