Marc Foster will be directing Christopher Robin, the live-action adaptation of Disney's Winnie the Pooh, which will center around family fun.

The film will follow the Christopher Robin, the boy who becomes friends with Pooh, as an adult. While Foster directs the film, Alex Ross Perry is set to write the script and Kristin Burr will be overseeing the project for the studio.

According to Variety, The Winnie the Pooh character was created by Milne for stories in books until 1961 when Disney bought the rights to the friendly yellow bear.

This led to the bear going viral as he began to star in television shows and films, including The Tigger Movie, Piglet’s Big Movie, Pooh’s Heffalump Movie, and Winnie the Pooh.

The live-action adaptation, Christopher Robin should be set to release in the same year as Beauty and the Beast and is among a list of upcoming Disney adaptations.
