Designer Raf Simons' debut show as chief creative officer of Calvin Klein will feature clothing for both men and women in the same show--a first for the brand.
According to Elle UK, this new collection will be revealed on Feb. 10 and will include ready-to-wear menswear and womenswear. Simons appears to be following the example of other designers including Tomas Maier and Ashish Gupta who have also created unisex attire for their recent fashion offerings. Gupta even debuted his collection last year with men and women owning the catwalk in heels and slip dresses.
Calvin Klein teased its new fashion pieces on Instagram this week.
It seems that Simons has long desired to buck the system. In a 2014 interview with Dazed, Simons said, "I’ve come to really question the system. As much as I am part of it, I have to question it for the simple reason that I wonder how far it can go. How far can it go until the moment that it might not work any more?"
