It's that time of year again when the record labels on Billboard’s year-end charts are ranked.
Republic Records has won the honors again this year! The company was also the top label of 2015 and CEO of Republic, Monte Lipman, is very happy to be ranked No. 1 again.
"This achievement acknowledges an extraordinary roster of artists, executive talent, and strategic partners," Lipman said. "The continued pursuit of excellence on behalf of the music, has always been the foundation of our success."
Republic Records was founded by Lipman and his brother, Avery, in 1995 and is a division of the Universal Music Group. Some of the label's top-selling artists include Demi Lovato, Ariana Grande, Taylor Swift, Drake, Lil Wayne, Nicki Minaj and The Weeknd.
