Britney Spears resurfaced after a rumor had spread that she passed away on the morning of Monday, Dec. 26.

The Twitter for Sony Music Global was hacked, prompting #RIPBritney to trend but the pop star's rep, Adam Leber, quickly debunked the rumor.

"Britney is fine and well," Leber stated.

The rumor went so far that Bob Dylan tweeted from his Twitter account, "Rest in peace @britneyspears." It remains uncertain whether the musician's account was hacked as well or not.

Despite the death hoax, Britney showed off her humor on Twitter later that day with a collage of her emulating the ladies from Charlie's Angels. The singer posed with finger guns and stuck out her tongue in the quirky shots.

"Don’t underestimate the power of Charlie’s ????," Spears tweeted.

Meanwhile, a rep for Sony said, "Sony Music Entertainment’s Twitter account was compromised. This has been rectified. Sony Music apologizes to Britney Spears and her fans for any confusion."
