Ree Drummond, the Pioneer Woman is an award winning blogger, number one New York Times bestselling author, nationally respected home cook and a star on the Food Network. This beautiful person, inside and out and reminds me of wonderful sister, Yvonne. They are both nothing if not authentic. The same can be said for Ree’s recipes and blog posts.
She writes, blogs and films from her family’s working ranch outside of Pawhuska, Oklahoma. And while she is from Oklahoma, she moved to Los Angeles to attend college, where she graduated from the University of Southern California.
She married Ladd Drummond, a cattle rancher in 1996. They have four children, all of whom are important aspects of her inspiration and work.
On Halloween, the Drummond family launched a restaurant and retail store called The Mercantile, in a 100 year building in their home town.
