The weekend box office looked very similar to last weekend as Moana repeated at No. 1 with $28.4 million during its second weekend and pushed its total domestic gross to just under $120 million. I expect Moana to finish close to $200 million domestically.

Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them spent another week in second place after bringing in $18.5 million, raising its total domestic gross to $183.5 million. This makes Fantastic Beasts the 10th highest domestic grossing film of 2016, reports Box Office Mojo.

Arrival moves up two spots to third place with $7.3 million and just crossed $73 million domestically. Allied repeats at fourth place with $7.1 million and Doctor Strange rounded out the top five with $6.5 million. Doctor Strange has now grossed $215.3 million domestically, making it the ninth largest domestic release in the Marvel Cinematic Universe as well as the ninth highest domestic grossing film of 2016.

The only new release of the week Incarnate had a very weak opening of only $2.7 million. I predict this film will quickly drop out of the top 10. The top spot will be interesting next weekend as the holiday comedy Office Christmas Party opens as well as two films going from limited to wide release.
