Whoever said collecting stamps wasn't chic hasn't seen the Oscar de la Renta stamps set to be released in 2017.
The late fashion designer will be featured along with his signature prints and designs.
The director for stamp services, Mary-Anne Penner, describes the stamps as "miniature works of art."
“The new year is shaping up to be exceptional as the Postal Service continues to produce stamps that celebrate the people, events and cultural milestones that are unique to the history of our great nation,” Penner elaborated on the stamp series.
Renown for his designs worn by celebrities and first ladies, De la Renta has made his work part of American history.
The designer's institution will live on in these 11 stamps one of which is a black-and-white portrait of him and was photographed by Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin.
Fashionistas will appreciate the vibrant details in the other 10 stamps. The U.S. Postal Service partnered with art director Derry Noyes in designing them.
De la Renta passed away at the age of 82 in 2014. Before passing away, he designed the famous wedding gown, worn by Amal Clooney.
