Tara Reid pays tribute to her father after he passes away

Tara Reid has revealed that her father, Thomas Reid, passed away and the star paid tribute to him on Friday via social media.

The Sharknado actress took to Instagram with her heartfelt message.

"Today, I've received terrible news that my father, Thomas Reid, has passed away," she wrote. "He was a man full of life, love, wisdom, and strength. He was not only fun and in good spirits, but he was also one of the best story tellers I've ever heard.

"My dad was so supportive, kind, strong, and my hero," she added. "He was my heart, my soul, and my entire world. I love you and will miss you so much daddy! #RIPDADDYREID."

Reid's father operated a daycare center in New Jersey. He is survived by his wife Donna, Tara and his five other children — Kathy, James, Tommy, Tara, Patrick and Colleen.
