In a new campaign by L'Oreal celebrating diversity, Blake Lively announced she was part Cherokee and, of course, the Twitterverse is having a field day with it.

The ad features a variety of models with diverse ethnicities and skin colors, showcasing the vast color choices the cosmetics company has to offer. Each of the ambassadors announce their heritage with Lively saying, "I’m English, Irish, German and Cherokee."

Twitter users unabashadly shared their opinions. There were light-hearted quips, such as from one user, "man, how did cover girl make the right skin tone for blake lively's part cherokee skin?"

To more serious attacks such as this from a user as reported by the Daily News, “@blakelively unless you have suffered with Cherokee, don't claim them now that it benefits you monetarily, but imma let them go in on you.”

The star has yet to comment on any posts related to the Cherokee claim, but did post on Instagram a photo and message about celebrating diversity, noting, "We are worth it."
