Just when you think you could not be more excited for the new Beauty and the Beast movie, Disney announces that Celine Dion will be involved in the remake!
Dion is set to perform a new song titled "How Does a Moment Last Forever" for the upcoming film, as reported by E! News. The song, written by composer Alan Menken and lyricist Tim Rice, is described as an "emotional ballad about holding onto life's precious moments."
Dion has already been a part of the Beauty and the Beast family. She sang the duet version of the song "Beauty and the Beast" with Peabo Bryson for the 1991 original animated film. For the upcoming remake, that duet will be performed by Ariana Grande and John Legend.
Mitchell Leib, President of Music for Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures Production commented on the news.
"Celine was the unanimous choice of the filmmakers and studio to perform this song. And everyone involved with the film is thrilled she agreed to be part of this new live-action adaptation."
Dion took to Twitter to announce the news.
Beauty and the Beast hits theaters March 17. The soundtrack, which will feature Dion's new song, will be released on March 10.
