Black-ish star Deon Cole and Rosewood star Nicole Ari Parker will host the 25th Annual Trumpet Awards which will air on Sunday, Jan. 29.

The Trumpet Awards celebrate African-American achievements and contributions. According to the press release, honorees at the Trumpet awards include Daytime Emmy nominee Wendy Williams, who got the Trumpet award for entertainment, former NBA star Dikembe Mutombo who got the Humanitarian Trumpet award, Martin Luther King III who got the Impact Trumpet award and fashion blogger Gabi Gregg, who got the Trailblazer Trumpet award.

Civil rights icon and Trumpet Awards founder Xerona Clayton, won the Golden Trumpet award for her leadership and ability to affect change while building the legacy of the awards.

“We have come so far since we started in 1993 and I am extremely obliged to those individuals who saw the vision and who have worked with us for 25 years," Clayton said. “Bounce is the ideal custodian to continue to enhance the level of excellence that is our standard going forward. I am thrilled to have my beloved Trumpet Awards become part of Bounce who will continue to celebrate the achievements of those who had an impact on our community for many more years to come.”

The Lifetime Achievement Trumpet award went to New Edition. The group was saluted by R&B bands Jagged Edge, Silk and The Transitions. Regina Belle, BJ The Chicago Kid, and Kenny Lattimore honored Trumpet legend award winner Peabo Bryson with a performance.

The Trumpet awards will air at 9 p.m. EST Jan. 29 on Bounce.
