Fadi Fawaz, who was George Michael's boyfriend, has revealed that his Twitter account was hacked after tweets from the account said the late singer tried to commit suicide a number of times.
Yahoo noted that tweets were sent from Fawaz's account on Sunday, Jan. 1, claiming that Michael tried to kill himself many times.
“We loved each other very much and we were together almost 24 hours a day,” the tweets claimed. “And finally he managed… he tried numbers of time to kill himself many times… the only thing George wanted is to DIE … not sure who that nasty close friend of George but I was in relationship with george micheal (sic) till I found him dead in bed.”
Once Fawaz saw the false claims, he set the record straight about any rumors and said that he did not send those tweets.
“I am shocked with what’s going on with the Twitter thing. My Twitter account has been hacked and closed,” he told the Mirror in statement. “It’s a bit scary to be honest. I did not send those tweets. I woke up at 11:30am to the news. I am not going to worry about these things.”
As we reported, Fawaz did send out tweets last week about how he found Michael dead in bed on Christmas morning.
