Mariah Carey's star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame has been defaced by vandals.
ET reported that Los Angeles police received word from a tipster about the diva's star being defaced.
"Hollywood detectives went out to the scene and discovered it had been vandalized," LAPD enforcement officials said on Tuesday, revealing, "The star had a 'question mark' that had been written on it."
As we reported, the singer was recognized with a star on the famous sidewalk in 2015.
Detectives are still working to try and find out who vandalized the property but the damage to Carey's star was cleaned up by Tuesday morning, costing around $1,500.
Damage to Mimi's singing reputation, however, took a bit of a hit on Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest when she struggled with that now-infamous performance. After enjoying an extremely successful career in the business for more than 25 years though, we think Carey will be just fine after the chatter from that debacle dies down.
