Ryan Reynolds to reprise role for 'Green Lantern Corps?'

Before he was Deadpool, Ryan Reynolds was The Green Lantern.

Now, DC Entertainment is giving the superhero story another go, but is Reynolds going to suit up?

Names like Tom Cruise, Bradley Cooper, Jake Gyllenhaal, Armie Hammer and Joel McHale are floating around along with Reynolds' name.

Reynolds, who played Hal Jordan in Green Lantern, has long joked about the 2011 flop.

Even in Deadpool, the 40-year-old makes Green Lantern a punchline.

Nevertheless, the father of two did meet his wife, Blake Lively, filming the movie. Lively portrayed Carol Ferris, who rekindles her romance with Hal in the film.

If Reynolds reprises his role, will Lively join her husband?

While casting is still up in the air, it was confirmed a year ago that Green Lantern will join the Justice League world.

Warner Bros. has eyes on David Goyer and Justin Rhodes as script writers for Green Lantern Corps. DC Entertainment President Geoff Johns and Jon Berg will act as executive producers.
