Criss Angel isn't letting a recent stint in the ER stop him from pulling one of his old stunts, literally.
After being hospitalized over the weekend when an escape attempt during his show at the Luxor in Las Vegas went wrong, the Mind Freak took to the stage and performed the same stunt in front of his audience that he didn't get through the night before.
The stunt, which occurs only a few minutes into his show, has the magician try to escape a straitjacket while hanging upside down. And that very trick is what landed him in the hospital Friday night.
As we reported, Angel fell unconscious in midair while performing the trick; resulting in the show being stopped and ultimately canceled as he was rushed to the ER.
One person in the audience named Ryan Perez spoke to ET about the scary moment when he and others in the the crowd noticed that something just wasn't right.
"So, he's wiggling. He's turning super-fast in midair trying to get out of it and about when there was five seconds left, suddenly he just stops wiggling. He's still going in a circle because he had been doing that before but he just kind of went limp," Perez said. "The timer then reached zero and there was a bunch of confusion as to what was happening and he was lowered down to the stage. Then the crew and cast from the show got a stool and they untied him and brought him off stage. Then the house lights came up it was announced there was going to be an intermission. It was just dead silent."
A trip to the hospital though apparently didn't faze the 49-year-old because the very next night he was out there again and successfully escaped the straitjacket and that led to a louder-than-usual applause from all those in attendance.
