Move over Eva Mendes, Gabrielle Union is joining New York & Company as the latest celebrity ambassador.
According to a media release, Union will be the face of the company's 7th Avenue Design Studio, beginning this April. In addition, Union will collaborate on her namesake collection sold exclusively through New York and Company.
Much like Banana Republic's Mad Men inspired collection, the partnership with Union is inspired by Mary Jane Paul, Union's character on the television show Being Mary Jane.
Union explains, "Mary Jane's style reflects power, leadership, and risk taking. She wears classic styles but with a twist, which is why I think she'd definitely shop at New York & Company."
Company CEO, Greg Scott speaks to the uniqueness of the line, saying, "Gabrielle's collection will be unlike anything our customers have ever seen from us."
New York & Company hopes to use its celebrity collaborations to boost their revenues after several shaky quarters.
