So after many joined in the backlash via social media over the Pepsi ad featuring Kendall Jenner, Madonna decided to jump in as well and throw shade at the soda company.

Before it was finally pulled Madge, who once starred in her own commercial with Pepsi, threw shade the soda giant's way for the ad featuring Jenner.

"When you wake up and realize that Shit just really doesn't make sense! ????#chosen ????Side Note: My Pepsi commercial was pulled 30 years ago because I was kissing a black saint! ???????? #ironic," Madonna captioned a video of the ad with Jenner.

What Madonna is referring to is that in 1989, her Pepsi ad featuring her song "Like A Prayer" was pulled after she released her full-length music video because religious groups and the Vatican said they would boycott the product. The company then also ended its sponsorship with the singer so yeah, she's still a little bitter it seems.

Several years later, Madonna showed up at the Grammy Awards and was photographed holding a can of Coca-Cola and the Queen of Pop decided to share the photo of that night via her Instagram to again show which soda she prefers.

As for Jenner's Pepsi commercial, the company pulled it not long after it debuted and issued an apology for the imagery.

“Pepsi was trying to project a global message of unity, peace and understanding,” the company said in a statement. “Clearly we missed the mark, and we apologize. We did not intend to make light of any serious issue. We are pulling the content and halting any further rollout."
