Well you know what they say, you win some, you lose some. At least that's what happened the night Tracee Ellis Ross won her very first Golden Globe Award!

Ellis Ross won the award for best actress in a TV series comedy or musical at the ceremony in January, marking her first major award show win. It also marked the first time since 1983 that an African-American woman has been victorious in the category.

"You know what Ellen," the Black-ish actress told Ellen DeGeneres on her talk show on April 20. "I won that Golden Globe, and then I wanted to change my dress for the after parties and I lost that Golden Globe."

Ellis ross said that she actually left the statue in the ladies room while changing in the ballroom!

"I couldn't get in and out of the dress by myself," she revealed. So as her friend ran off to get her stylist, Ellis stood there with "no service" and in "a G-string and pasties."

As for the return, it did not come as easy as Ellis Ross had hoped.

"I realized I had left the Golden Globe and went back in and it had been given to security and then they couldn't find it. It was so dramatic."

However, it was eventually returned to her safe and sound. "I did get it returned," she said. "I was sweating profusely. I do have it."

To finish the segment, DeGeneres gifted Ellis Ross a blinged-out tracking device for her trophy.
