A British adventurer is convinced that the Amazon jungle was the home to a developed civilization in The Lost City of Z . With much opposition, he sets out on an expedition to prove that the area was once previously inhabited. The PG-13 drama is based on a true story and stars Charlie Humman alongside Robert Pattinson and Sienna Miller. It runs for two hours and twenty minutes.
A scorned woman seeks revenge on her ex-husband’s fiancée in Unforgettable. Seeing his new love take what was once hers, she goes to great lengths to get her out of the picture and away from her family. Katherine Heigl, Rosario Dawson and Geoff Stults star in the one hour and forty minute psychological thriller. The suspenseful drama is rated R for sex, violence, language and nudity.
The Promise is a love story entangled with the destruction of war. Set in Constantinople during World War I, an Armenian student and an American journalist vie for the affection of an Armenian artist, all while fighting to stay alive in the war torn area. Christian Bale, Oscar Isaac and Charlotte Le Bon star in the PG-13 drama. The limited released romance is based on real events. It plays for two hours and fourteen minutes.
Get a rarely seen glimpse into to the Chinese wilderness with Born in China. The one hour and nineteen minute documentary provides an inside look into the lives of a panda, golden monkey and snow leopard. The G-rated Disney Nature film is narrated by John Krasinski.
A weapons transaction between gang members and two Irishmen goes awry in Free Fire. Chaos ensues when shots are fired causing all involved to take cover. The one hour and thirty minute action comedy stars Cillian Murphy, Armie Hammer, Michael Smiley, Brie Larson, Sharlto Copley, Armie Hammer, Jack Reynor, Sam Riley and Noah Taylor. It’s rated R for violence, language, sex and drugs.
Unseen footage is uncovered twenty years after “The Phoenix Lights” in Phoenix Forgotten. Following the UFO sighting in 1997, three teenagers, with video camera in hand, go on a mission into the desert to investigate the truth behind what they really saw and have never been seen since. The PG-13 horror film is based on the real events that occurred on March 13, 1997. It’s running in limited theaters for one hour and twenty-seven minutes.
More thrillers are headed into theaters next week. Tom Hanks and Emma Watson’s dramatic thriller, The Circle, enters theaters on April 28 alongside the sci-fi thriller Sleight.
