We are learning more about the disastrous Fyre Festival that was set to begin late last month and go on for two weekends at a "private island" in the Bahamas. Of course we know now that the event was far from luxurious for those who purchased the expensive tickets and many are wondering where exactly all the money went.
Well a new report via Vice News is claiming that it all was blown on models and yachts a month before the festival was to kick off.

As we reported, the event was nothing short of a disaster when attendees ascended on what they thought was a private island but was actually a public beach next to Sandals resort. The "accommodations" for ticket purchasers also ended up being a camp with half built tents and "gourmet food" that turned out to be just bread and cheese sandwiches.
The new Vice report alleges that sales for the tickets were much lower than anticipated and were discounted as the date for the festival drew closer. Sources said that the ticket prices were much closer to the $500 and $2,000 range and organizer Billy McFarland was blowing through that money on promoting the affair rather than getting the basic necessities—like toilets and showers— it lacked in order.
McFarland is said to have spent $250,000 on a single Instagram post from Kendell Jenner and put out hundreds of thousands more on several other models who received no less than $20,000 for their promotion posts.
The 25-year-old organizer and his co-organizer rapper JaRule, have released statements saying that ticket purchasers will be refunded their money.
Over the weekend the first class-action lawsuit was filed by attorney Mark Geragos on behalf of his client, Daniel Jung, for $100 million.
