Shannen Doherty has shared some good news about her cancer with her followers via Instagram.
The actress posted and message on Saturday, April 29, announcing that her breast cancer is in remission. As the news is definitely a positive, Doherty revealed that she is not out of the woods as her cancer can come back and the next few days are "crucial" for her.

"Today was and is a moment," she captioned a photo in which she is sitting down with a baseball cap on. "What does remission mean? I heard that word and have no idea how to react. Good news? YES. Overwhelming. YES. Now more waiting. As every single one of my fellow cancer family knows, the next five years is crucial. Reoccurrences happen all the time."
Doherty continued her post by saying that many people battling cancer have told her about that grim possibility, but she is just waiting things out and deciding on what steps to take next. "So with a heart that is certainly lighter, I wait. In the meantime, decisions. Reconstruction which is several surgeries. Decision on taking a pill for the next five years that comes with its own set of problems and side effects. I am blessed, I know that. But for now.... remission. I'm going to just breathe. cancerslayer."
As we reported, the 90210 alum's cancer diagnosis was revealed after a lawsuit was filed two years against her management firm for allegedly allowing her health insurance to lapse, which prevented her from having medical coverage and getting a timely diagnosis.
