If you were wondering what the official song of summer 2017 is look no further!

Luis Fonsi's "Despacito" featuring Daddy Yankee has broken 3 billion views on YouTube making it not only the song to beat, but the most played and most liked clip ever. It beat out the gut-wrenching Furious 7 anthem from Wiz Kalifa and Charlie Puth, "See You Again," according to the L.A. Times.

The song, with some seriously sexy lyrics, is a worldwide phenomenon, having spent 27 weeks on Billboard's Latin charts before hitting the Hot 100. The last Spanish song to hit the Hot 100 was Los del Rio’s “Macarena” in 1996, according the the Washington Post.

The song's English collaboration with Justin Bieber, which is believed to have made the song such a hit in the U.S. wasn't in Fonsi's plans, he wanted Jay-Z or Drake to bring in a hip-hop element instead.

In an interview, Fonsi said, "Before Justin we'd been talking about doing a collaboration with an American artist. We were leaning towards a more hip-hop artist, but I didn't know how to get in touch with JAY-Z or Drake. Justin wasn't even on the list."
