Star Trek: Discovery is already starting its run on CBS and CBS All Access this Sunday, Sept. 24, and we still know next to nothing about the show. However, CBS has just released the first four episode titles, finally giving us some clues as to what the show might be about. They are:
Episode 1 — “The Vulcan Hello”
Episode 2 — “Battle at the Binary Stars”
Episode 3 — “Context Is for Kings”
Episode 4 — “The Butcher’s Knife Cares Not for the Lamb’s Cry”
And let the online speculation begin now.
We’re assuming “The Vulcan Hello” is referring to the Vulcan hand-greeting that Leonard Nimoy made famous in the original Star Trek. We know that the show is going to be based around war with the Klingons, so “Battle at the Binary Stars” could well be based around that. As far as “Context Is for Kings” and “The Butcher’s Knife Cares Not for the Lamb’s Cry,” it’s anyones guess, but it all sounds rather philosophical — true to Stark Trek nature.
In total, there will be fifteen episodes in the first season of Star Trek: Discovery. The first episode will air on CBS, then move exclusively to the network’s new streaming service CBS All Access.
