DIY guru Genevieve Gorder has been very busy lately. Not only is she working on her HGTV shows and returning to TLC's Trading Spaces this spring, but she is also a mom of a lovely girl. Being a mom who is passionate about education led her to be an enthusiastic supporter of Box Tops for America.
Gorder is from Minneapolis, Minnesota, but moved to New York City to take a design internship at MTV. After completing it, they offered her a permanent job. She went on to earn her B.F.A in design from the School of Visual Arts in Manhattan. Gorder was one of the original designers of the TLC's hit series Trading Spaces and went on to judge HGTV’s Design Star in 2010. She also hosted HGTV shows including Genevieve’s Renovation, A Hero’s Welcome, White House Christmas and Dear Genevieve.
Box Tops for Education has raised more than $840 million for K-8 schools. Sept. 24-30 is National Box Tops for Education Week where communities are encouraged to collect as many box tops as possible to help support local schools. Appropriate box clips are found in hundreds of products.
