Bob Vila offers his best pest-proofing tips
Bob Vila knows how to beautify and space, but he is also passionate about keeping homes and yards pest free.
Pests are not just a nuisance, but they also have the potential to cause serious risks to health and property. Termites alone are responsible for more than $5 billion in damage alone. And these costs are generally out of pocket as termites are rarely covered by homeowners insurance.
And that is just one kind of pest. Mice and rats damage structures to and love to chew on electrical cords, which can cause fires.
Bob Vila is the American home improvement guru known for his hosting of groundbreaking DIY television shows This Old House, Home Again with Bob Vila and Bob Vila.
Bob Vila spoke to Michelle Tompkins for TheCelebrityCafe.com about his newest projects and how you can find his archived work along with new tips on BobVila.com.
He also shared new tips and trends in home improvement, what you can do to get rid of mosquitoes and how to spot a termite infestation.
Last but not least, what are five pest-proofing tips to add to the spring cleaning list to make your home less appealing to critters and if you do detect an infestation what you should do.
