Broadway is defined by the American Theatre Wing and the Broadway league as theaters eligible for a Tony Award, located from 41st Street to 65th Street on the East Side of Manhattan.

The actors in these theaters must abide by the Actor’s Equity Contracts except for the ones run by non-profit companies, the Vivian Beaumont, the Biltmore, the American Airlines and Studio 54.

This means tickets on Broadway cost more money due to the higher production costs.
