Celebrate Cinco de Mayo with some fun and useful gifts

Cinco de Mayo is not Mexican Independence Day.  That date is September 16. Cinco de Mayo commemorates the Mexican Army's surprising victory over the French Empire at the Battle of Puebla, on May 5, 1862, that happened under the leadership of General Ignacio Zaragoza.

It isn't really celebrated in a huge way in Mexico. However, it is a popular drinking and party day here in the United States.

So, what are some things you can do to have a little extra fun celebrating Cinco de Mayo?

Of course, you can head to a favorite Mexican restaurant, have some guacamole and chips, and if you are of age,  have some margaritas or tequila shots, but there are a few fun items that you can get to make it a little more festive. And if you love in-home entertaining, you will love these ideas.
