J. Cole's fifth studio album KOD is his fifth straight album to reach the Billboard top 200 with six of his songs on the Billboard top 100, obtaining the best-selling week of 2018.

And now, we can expect a tour with the duo of Cole and fellow MC, Young Thug.

Cole has announced a KOD tour with Young Thug which will begin August 8 in Miami and conclude October 10 in Boston now that the album has been digested by fans.

Cole revealed that the pre-sale for the tour will begin Wednesday and the tickets will officially go on sale Saturday. He is expected to make 35 tour stops along the way, including Montreal.

Cole has seen his new album reach his audiences in the way he intended, creating a new conversation from its contents.  He even took to twitter to answer questions about the meanings of songs, what inspired him and what’s next for him musically.

Cole's last three projects have taken have been personal projects that he believes only he could tell which is why he classically has gone without a single feature on his albums as of late.

But with his final song 1985 (Intro to “The Fall Off”), there’s a theory and calculated understanding that this signifies the competition of his inner therapy with the “demons” the MC has discussed in his music.
