With Game of Thrones drawing to a close, Peter Dinklage is looking to future projects. He is attached to star and produce Sony's Rumpelstiltskin, still in development.
Patrick Ness, along with Karen Rosenfelt, will write the script, according to Variety. Matt Smith, David Alpert, David Ginsberg, Josh Weinstock, along with Dinklage himself, will produce. Dinklage and Weinstock will produce through Estuary Films.
It is unclear whether this film will be set in medieval times or modern day, though according to Vulture, it will center around the original tale, by the Brothers Grimm, which features a girl who is locked in a room by the king because her father said she could spin straw into gold. She can't, of course, but Rumpelstiltskin comes to help her, for a price. Even with this vague summary, official plot details are being kept under wraps.
Since this film is still in development, it will not be Dinklage's next project.
