By following these simple tips, your next party will be a smash

Raina Seitel earned an Emmy for her chops in broadcast journalism where she is most well-known for her celebrity interviews on the Red Carpet, but her passion truly lies with at-home entertaining.

Seitel is also a brand ambassador for QVC. She can be seen hosting segments on NBC’s New York Live as well as other platforms and where she often discusses her love of cooking,  party planning and parenting tips.

She got inspired to talk about party planning because her family loved to entertain and their philosophy was always the more the merrier, so her love of entertaining started early and it is still something she remains passionate about today.

Something that Raina does well is time management, which can often get away from us when planning a summer party.

She suggests to come up with a theme and get your party supplies a couple of weeks in advance and then, about a week out, it is time to create your shopping list.  The day before, create a timeline of what needs to be done when and then make sure to leave time to enjoy the party yourself.

So when it comes to the drinks be sure to lots of varieties of beverages including juices, iced teas, soft drinks and adult beverages if this is not a dry party.  She celebrates the new Tropicana Coco Blends that mix other delicious fruit flavors such as pineapple or peach with a bit of coconut water and while delicious on their own, they can be easily turned into a gourmet cocktail with just a little imagination and some booze.

As for snacks, one of her great tips is to spread them out over the house so people can easily have a drink in one hand and pop something simple like chips and dip while wandering around your home.

Raina Seitel spoke with Michelle Tompkins for TheCelebrityCafe.com about her background, her love of party planning, gave time management tips for making party planning simple, what are food and beverage options from Pepsico are on trend, how to make a party more family-friendly and more.
