Who knew Brown could sing? But, it seems like he can do just about anything

Sterling K. Brown not only has an Emmy from his hit show This Is Us and also stared in the phenomenal hit Black Panther, but he has also just landed a role in Trey Edward Shults upcoming musical film Waves that will begin filming in Florida next month.

Waves, which has been called a romantic comedy will also star Lucas Hedges from Lady Bird and Kelvin Harrison Jr. from It Comes at Night, also directed by Shults will be released by A24.

Shults, who is originally from Houston received critical acclaim for his first two films Krisha and It Comes at Night which he wrote, directed and acted in.

Oscar-winning composers Atticus Ross and Trent Reznor are said to be onboard to come up with the score.  They won their Oscar for The Social Network but also scored the creepy music of Gone Girl and The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo.

Sterling K. Brown also earned a Primetime Emmy for playing Christopher Darden in The People v. O. J. Simpson: American Crime Story. He also has extensive theater training so this new endeavor will be fun to watch.

Brown begins filming Waves in August and can be seen on This Is Us on NBC this fall.
