Eminem is regarded as one of the legendary icons in the rap industry.
And on Friday morning, Eminem released a surprise 13-track album called Kamikaze which sent social media into a frenzy not only because of it coming out of the blue, but because of its contents.
The 13-time Grammy-Award winner is known for his high-paced cadence, alien punchlines and controversial rhetoric as an MC.
With this album, he stepped right back into that ring, making disses to Lil Pump, Lil Yachty, Lil Xan, Machine Gun Kelly, Tyler, The Creator, Drake, Charlamagne tha God, DJ Akademiks, Joe Budden, Donald Trump, Mike Pence and the Grammy’s themselves.
The list is long and with this long list, came a mixture of good and bad reviews simply because; Eminem walks a tightrope of crossing a line to make a point.
For example, Eminem’s bars, which many found homophobic towards Tyler, The Creator.
Or the facts that Eminem revealed in his song “The Ringer” that the secret service paid him a visit for his 2017 BET Hip Hop Awards Cypher.
But he didn’t receive all questionable or negative reviews.
NBA superstar LeBron James led the cast of fans who stan for the album and the MC’s lyrical prowess.
But the random pop up of this album provided debate upon Eminem’s talent as an artist versus today’s current generation of rappers as well.
But it seems as though this album created a cosmic boom of sorts with many people split, but nonetheless, a firestorm was formed with its release.
