Producer Stephen Broussard (Ant-Man and the Wasp) confirmed that upcoming Marvel characters will be part of the LGBTQ+ community.
Though Marvel has slowly implemented minority characters and storylines, the LGBTQ+ representation has been lacking. So far.
Tessa Thompson spoke about a cut scene that confirmed her character's bisexuality in Thor: Ragnarok, and a same-sex romance was also cut from Black Panther, according to Gay Times.
According to an interview with Den of Geek, Broussard agreed that it is frustrating to wait for information about representation, but said that things are progressing behind-the-scenes, and we should expect LGBTQ+ Marvel characters in the future.
The next installment of the Marvel universe will be Captain Marvel, releasing on March 8, 2019.
