Located in the southwest the “Lone Star” state of Texas is the second largest and second most populous state in the union.

It is the 28th state in the U.S. and the largest cities in the state are: Houston, San Antonio, Dallas, Austin, Fort Worth, El Paso, Arlington, Corpus Christi, Plano and Laredo. People know this state by its size and shape.

The most historic site in this state is the Alamo located in San Antonio; it here that Texas defenders fell to Mexican governor Santa Anna.

Sam Houston, who is probably the most famous Texan, was born in Virginia, as well as serving as governor of Tennessee before he moved to Texas.

But most important, at least to us, are the actors born in the great state of Texas.
