Outrage has continued to spark in India after the news of a 4-year-old rape victim dying.

According to CNN, hospital officials confirmed the child died of cardiac arrest on Monday. It is one of the many rape cases and assaults that have been reported in the past few months. 34-year-old Firoz Khan has admitted to the rape and has been arrested.

The Times of India reports that the girl was allegedly abducted on the 17th of April from the small town of Ghansaur. Her family found her the next day, unconscious and suffering from severe head injuries. The victim was taken to a hospital where she was put on life support and given medication. However, the injuries were so exhaustive that she did not survive.

This past week The Huffington Post also reported that another girl was raped and mutilated in a public toilet in New Delhi, India. A week after that, a five-year-old endured a similar attack in the nation's capital.

The police told The Hindustani Times: “She left the house to use the toilet around 3:30 p.m. When her uncle went looking for her, he found her in a semi-naked condition, bleeding and howling in pain.”

These are only a few of the many rape cases that have shaken India. It has resulted in a flood of protests and revolts nation-wide. In recently-released photos from The Huffington Post, citizens are seen demeaning the government and holding signs in favor of anti-police slogans. The protesters are convinced that the government isn’t doing enough to stop the rape cases from happening. Many of them also seek justice for the victims.

With the rape cases increasing wildly, NBC, announced that the tourism rates for India have dropped significantly. About 6.6 million international tourists visited India last year. However, from December 2012, the number of women tourists has dropped by 35 percent.
