Arctic Monkeys played a new song “Do I Wanna Know” at the Majestic Ventura Theater in Ventura, Calif. on May 22.

This was their first live concert since the Olympic Games Opening Ceremony in July last year after their “Suck It and See” tour that ended at Metallica’s Orion Music + More festival in June 2012. This performance marked their return to the stage.

The band plays the Sasquatch Festival in Washington on May 24 and then play six more U.S. dates before their European festival dates NME reported.

Frontman Alex Turner said the band’s fifth album is “built on rock ‘n’ roll so the best studios and equipment are here,” after moving to Los Angeles Paste Magazine reported.

Their most recent album Suck It and See was released in 2011 and their fifth album is expected to release this year.

“There’s no time deadlines or anything like that for release. We’re just getting back into it, because it always takes a while to get back into it,” Drummer Matt Helders said.
